Breaking News August 11, 2008 - Bull’s Eye Country Club Helps Non-Profits Groups Raise Funds By: Matt Anderson, for the Daily Tribune FORE! The Bull’s Eye Country Club has been a busy place this summer adding some community fundraisers to help local non-profit groups. Last year at BECC, the South Wood County YMCA raised over $15,000 for the Strong Kids Campaign at their annual golf outing. In June, the Boys and Girls Club teamed with the Optimist Club and raised over $9,000 to award scholarships to youth and to increase youth programming. The South Wood County Humane Society held its annual Putts Fore Pets Outing for the first time at Bull’s Eye last month. With 90 golfers and 125 people eating dinner, the Humane Society was able to raise roughly $7,000 to help cover rising operating expenses. Many of these golf events include live auctions, buffet dinners, raffles, on course games, and occasionally the chance to win a new car for a hole in one. These events are a win-win for everyone involved. The community gets a chance to gather and experience a fun evening at Bull’s Eye, the Country Club gets new people to experience our facilities, but more importantly, we all get to give back to our community. Bull’s Eye Country Club is happy to be apart of events that benefit the community. Bull’s Eye is a great host site for events because people love eating at our dining facility, experiencing first class service, and it gives the community a rare chance to play a private championship course. Bull’s Eye is open to the public for golf outings, weddings, parties, and much more. Call 715-423-2230 for more details. Matt Anderson General Manager, Bull’s Eye CC |
