Tourism Cluster

"Collaboration between partners only strengthens our ability to promote the area. The Progress Initiative has allowed us to grow beyond our walls and out into the community for new ideas, startling discoveries, and additional partnerships that serve to make our organization stronger."
~Karin Mast, former director of Wiscosnin Rapids Area Convention & Visitors Bureau

Next Meeting: May 13, 3:30pm, location TBA

Cluster Update

September 18, 2006
The Tourism Cluster continues to work on informational kiosks for each community. Design plans for the kiosks have been finalized. The cluster is also planning a service employee training, "Know your own Backyard." This training will take place this fall.

February 6, 2006
This group is focusing on information kiosks. They have developed a timeline to implement these kiosks and are partnering with Progress Teams in the seven communities to place one kiosk in each community. The spring holds plans to provide training for service employees to give them the knowledge necessary to effectively "sell our community." This cluster will also be involved in eco-tourism.
